A more relavent question would be "Who takes home more?"

Call your local orthodontist, tell them you need braces but before you start you need to know how much the ortho takes home per year.
Then call your local aegd trained dentist and tell them that you need a tooth colored filling but before you have it done you need to know how much they take home per year.

This is the only way you will ever know for sure.

Alternatively, finish dental school then do an aegd then work for six years before you go to an ortho residency and do ortho for six years. This may also get you the information you seek.

yeah i know that i can search it on google or ADA website , but i dont think that figures are too accurate for each person so i wanted to know individual experience and there earnings.

In my household atleast, me the GPR trained GP makes more than my wife the orthodontist. But then again I did a 2 year GPR so that makes me super duper special and in an earning class that very few GP's could ever hope to achieve 🙄😉 (and the fact that I work more hours/days a week than my wife does and am the owner of my practice whereas my wife is an associate at hers is totally irrelevant to this discussion )

As for earnings, well all that I will say is that everytime I listen to Pres Obama talk, I keep asking myself why he thinks that I'm such a bad guy and why he wants more of my money?? 😉

I wish!!! except that would mean i was responsible for the death of millions of people... I mean if glen gave all of his money to uncle sam and lived only off 30k the world would be so much better off!! Or we could get a budget and stick to it. But, even conservatives are to gutless to get a descent budget. Im sick of politics, im done.

But to the original post, ortho makes more on average. but of course a gp can and will make more under certain circumcstances.

But in the end everyone should make the same amount, whether you go to school for 12 years or collect cans for a living!

Did anyone ever figure out how much a dentist makes? I called my dentist and they hung up when I asked. I plan on calling an orthodontist tomorrow. I'll post any new information.
