Hi all,
I was looking at someone else's resume the other day and it was three friggin pages long!! Mine is only 1 page and I feel as though I'm not competitive enough. I have pretty good grades I think, GPA=3.7 in an ivy league school, research but no publications, pretty good LORs, one extracurricular activity, but I haven't taken the MCAT yet. Does this mean that there's no hope for me?? 😕

Yes there is no hope. I am sorry. Maybe you can get into a PA program but even that is a stretch. 🙁

 Relax man. You have a 3.7 from an ivy league school and decent ECs. As long as you can pull a 28 or above on your MCAT, you will get into some MD school.🙂

Chill

.

yer fine. Take a deep breath and for God's sake relax. If you freak out now, it's gonna be a long road. You sound like a more compettive applicant than many people I met. Definitely sound better than me and I did just fine.

Good luck on everything.

There is no hope. Think McDonald's for a future career.

Seriously, your GPA is very good. If you do well on the mcat you are golden.

By the way, unless you have extensive, or exceptionally noteworthy experience in a field, a formal resume should not be more than 1 page long (plus cover sheet).

i think many applicants feel like this at some point... i certainly have. 🙄 it's alright.. it's a competitive process but i'm sure u'll be fine. just buck up and get through the application the best u can. try not to let those thoughts of self-doubt freak u out.

Thanks for the warm replies. I guess I was overreacting a bit but now I'm okay. Thanks everyone and good luck! 🙂
