I am still not sure if they interview all applicants that they are interested. Should I expect to hear from them? Or wait until 12/1 for either an acceptance or rejection letter?🙁

I heard they were only interviewing borderline candidates... but that was from a friend of a friends cats, uncle, brother, etc. Seems stupid to me... I would just count Marquette out if I dont hear from them until Dec. I also want to see a school before I give them $200,000 and 4 years of my life!

IMO... 😎

For those of you with a Marquette interview, what are your stats? Also, when did you send them your complete secondary application? And how long did it take them to get back to you once they recieved your secondary?

I talked to Brian Trecek (the adcom at marquette) last week and he said they are requiring interviews. They are putting a heavy emphasis on whether or not the candidate shows dedication toward dentistry. I would expect them to interview everyone they accept.

I got an interview, but I'm going to pass on it. I also found it odd that they sent me an interview when 1. I didn't send them any money for application purposes, and 2. Never filled out a secondary. I'm wasn't really intersted in the school, to cold in the winter, lol. good luck

I want an interview, so if you don't...pass on my name!

I'm interviewing at Marquette on Oct. 11th. I also hadn't filled out my secondary, but they told me it is only for scholarship reasons.

how do you get a 4.0 and only a 19 DAT????

Just a side note-
I interviewed at Marquette in the fall of 2003 as an in-state candidate, and the facilities were great!!! They were brand new in 2002 or (2001, I can't remember) Everything is state of the art. It is a beautiful campus, in a not so beautiful area. However, Milwaukee is okay and close to Chicago and Madison which are both fun. I know a few dentists who went there and they all thought it was a great school.

I haven't been contacted by them this time around for an interview, I'm guessing I'm just not what they are looking for. My residency has changed to Michigan and my scores are 20AA/17PAT with a 3.6 GPA... I applied in May and only recieved the secondary application thing, but no request for an interview... I'm kinda bummed... Guess Marquette isn't the school for me.

what is it about the area that is not so beautiful? I know nothing about milwaukee

Milwaukee is Algonquin for 'the good earth'. It's a sweet school. The city is old, but historic. I liked it. Yes it gets cold, but in the summers it's awesome. My wife's cousin is on the waterski club up there for marquette, which is sponsored by a dentist who teaches at the dental school. I've heard he holds a world record for slalom skiing.
