isn't it around $300 k for four years? what schools are substantially more expensive than that? i've heard that its difficult to finish clinical requirements and that pass rates are lagging. is any of that true?
33k tuition per year x 4 years = 132k
Instruments and misc dental stuff = 20k
~150k total for base costs. Double that if you need living expenses and food to survive. Both of those latter are negotiable
🙂. Most students take out ~55k a year. Totals a little above 200k. I do not know the exact average of debt when graduating Nova, but I probably should considering I am in SGA.
Board pass rates are good. 100% florida board pass last year... I think that's pretty good.
Now as for clinical requirements, that's a different ballgame. Endo and RPD are tough to get. ~10 students held back during summer to finish requirements each year for the past 2-3 years... usually endo is the culprit. Now look at the flip side, I'm almost done and it's december. Then again, I'm a SDNer, so naturally, I'm an overachiever
If you're asking me to give horror stories of nova, I will not. Every dental school has its ups and downs. I will not post on SDN what's wrong with the school, but if you come down for an interview, I'd be happy to have lunch with any student to talk about what they want out of dental school and whether Nova will fulfill that
