--who makes the cut what's science and what's non-science?---
I'm an anthropology major, with a minor in chemistry. I've taken all of the dental preregs and in addition to that I've taken human anatomy/physilogy and 2 semesters of bio research. Do they count those 2 semesters of research in your science gpa? I called the aadsas and they said everything that is related to science is counted as science. I mean I want my bio research class count as in science gpa but not my geology class or my exercise sport and science class.
Also, do you guys think non-science major people get a "look down" from the schools because we tend to take only the minimum requirements, i took 3 more science classes than required. My course load is primarily anthropology classes. For me, I have an easier time in g-chem and orgo-chem classes than my anthropology classes because i just got here 10 yrs ago. I major in it because i have a question i want to explore.

The ADEA makes the cut. The AADSAS website lists which courses are science or non-science.

where exactly is that posted???

I would also like to know where this is posted. Thanks for the input.

From what I've heard, dental schools really like if you take a "nontraditional" major. It shows that you are well-rounded, able to relate to people in a different way, and have other interests in your life.

The only thing is that your intro science courses have to be pretty stellar because these would be the only science classes d-schools would see and they need to know if you'd be able to handle upper-level sciences. Minoring in chem looks great if you have to take classes other than the gen chem and orgo pre-req's because you are demonstrating an affinity for science if you do decently. If you have time, you could also show that you're not trying to avoid science (and maybe help you in d-school) by taking histology, biochem, or physiology/anatomy. But as you have the chem minor, I think you'll be okay.

Your anthro major would definately be a great interview discussion and I would bet that they'd want to know why you are drawn to it, aka explain that question you wanted to explore. I was interested in anthropology myself when I entered college, but I found it didn't turn me on as much as biology did. Best of luck.

In terms of "who makes the cut", just check out the AADSAS application coursework folder. It lists all the courses under the categories.

Go Anthropology!!, Good Luck...
