Hate to be "that guy" (or that girl, in this case), but I'm out of the country on a Spanish language study abroad trip and currently going mad thinking/worrying about my chances of getting into dental school.

Anywho:
DAT: 20AA/19PA
BCP: 3.17 (ouch)
Science GPA: 3.27
Non-science GPA: 3.9

As for other things:
100+ hours of shadowing, ~700ish hours of volunteering and extracurricular joy, including a good stock of leadership positions. I also participated in a semester of research (which I've been told is a good thing to have on an app) and am graduating in three years--this upcoming year is my third/senior year.

I'm freaking out a tad about my science GPA, but I took the honors versions of Chem/Phys. Those 3.0s don't look too ugly on a transcript, but once they form a GPA...eesh. I'm hoping my non-science GPA will help my case a little.

I'm a Michigan resident and hoping to get into either Michigan or especially Detroit Mercy, but like always, I will be happy if anyone lets me in. So, what do you guys think?

Your stats are not bad at all. Yeah your science gpa is slightly below average, but your dat's are right on point. You still have 3 long years to try and boost your gpa, so no need to worry. I have very similar stats and applying this cycle. Good luck with your future endeavors and enjoy the Spanish trip!

Your GPA is a bit below average, but they'll be able to see you were in honors classes--that has to count for something! I think you're in a good spot, and it looks like you have awesome ECs. You'll get interviews, and though you might not get into every single school you applied to, I have full confidence that you'll be accepted somewhere!

Do honors classes matter much when schools look at it?
Basically all my classes are honors because my degrees is an honors program.
