What is up with GW? I sent in their secondary a month and a half ago and still no word? Anyone know how they work?

Only a month and a half ago? My, you're impatient! 😛 Seriously, though, I sent my secondary in on 10/4, it was delivered 10/9, and they sent a postcard back postmarked 10/13 that they'd received it. I recently bugged them to know if my app was complete, and they e-mailed me back on 11/16 (the very day I e-mailed them!) that app complete postcards had just gone out the day before, but that they were happy to tell me that my app was complete. Now that's what I call a polite school. I'm going to nominate them for most polite on Watcha's thread! 🙂 I think you should definitely call or e-mail them, but I do think they're a little behind and/or disorganized. They're supposed to send a second postcard when they get your LOR's, but I never got one of those.

I would have to disagree, SMW. I found GWU very rude when I called them to check my status once. The guy was like "Just wait for the postcard." Like he was eager to get me off the phone. In any case, I am interviewing there in a few weeks, so maybe things will be better. BTW, does anyone know if GWU has student hosts?

I think it's just the luck of the draw whether one gets a polite or rude response from any given school on any given day. I'm happy just to get any response at all from a lot of schools! 😉 Maybe GW likes e-mail inquiries better than phone calls? I have no idea whether GW has host students, but I would think they'd have let you know that, if they do, when they invited you to interview. Anyway, best of luck with the interview, moo! 😀 Be sure to let us know how it goes. 🙂

I just received a postcard from GW today stating that my application is complete. For those of you got interviews at GW ..how long did you have to wait between this postcard and the interview invitation !! Thank You

I too finally got the app complete postcard (actually all it said was that they had my secondary and my LOR's, and it might be a while before I hear from them again - I guess I'm supposed to assume from that that they also have my Aug. MCAT?). So I too am curious how long it's been taking them to review an app and invite someone for an interview. Moo?

About a month. I think I got their postcard in early October, and got the letter in early November. My interview is scheduled for 7 December, but when I called to try to change it, they said the only available date was in February!
