I thought AMCAS had to verify your application before schools can even look at your application. My primary app was submitted on the 17th, it's not verified yet. Yet I got two secondaries already. Just curious if this has happened to anyone else. Cheers and good luck to everyone!

Yeah I got Columbia's, and I still haven't been verified. I'm pretty sure AMCAS must send a list of applicants to each school that includes those who haven't been verified.

I surprisingly came across the link posted on Columbia's website last night. Their policy allows you more time to plan and complete the secondary. All they need is your AMCAS id to give you access to their system... so verification time has no bearing on the secondary, only primary submission.

That auto-secondary deal does not make me feel special at all..😎

Yeah, whenever I tell my family I got a secondary from X or Y school, they all sound really impressed and tell me congratulations. I revel in it for a second before telling them that everyone who applied got a secondary to that school. Alas.

I guess some schools are as impatient as we are. Of course they're the ones making money...not us

money money money ... MONEEYYY. The system doesn't care if you get in or not they just want your money.

I dont get why the fuk AMCAS needs to charge additional 35 when u apply to new school. Its probably done electronically. I thought they were non profit
