I read that 1000 dentists are licensed every year and there's an actual shortage of 4000 dentists....
Where to practice in Cali with this numbers??

Ughh... for the 10 millionth time, it's all about corruption!!! Dental schools pay the politicians to spin the inflated "shortage" of dentists (if it really exists) in the rural areas so that dental schools can increase their number of seats and raise tuition. What do the new grads do (including the dental graduates in Mexico who are granted Cali dental licenses)? Move to the cities.

agreed. the only place in California that might possibly have a shortage is the same as every other state...the middle of nowhere. Most people dont care for that scene so the metro areas are completely saturated. If you want to live in a desirable area, I hope you dont have any debt and are okay with making half as much as you would by living in a less desirable area.

1 in 8 Americans are California residents. According to a local dental sales magazine, 1 in 5 dentists in the U.S. are licensed in California:

1 IN 5 DENTISTS currently practicing in the U.S. are licensed
here in Calif. That’s why there are so many “Practice For
Sale” ads in The Dental Trader. You can reach all these CA
dentists with The Dental Trader. Visit dentaltrader.com for
details.
