Hey Denty, let me tell you about me. Anthropology and Language major, first and 2nd DAT scores taken in May and Sept were:

DAT1 DAT2 YOUR DAT
AA: 17 AA: 18 AA: 17
PAT: 16 PAT:17 PAT:15
QR:13 QR: 15 QR:16
RC:21 RC: 21 RC:19
BIO:18 BIO:18 BIO:16
Gchem: 16 Gchem:18 chem:16
Ochem:17 Ochem: 18 ochem:18
TS: 18 TS: 18 ts:?

Okay your scores are comprable to my scores on the 1st DAT. I decided to retake the DAT because the AA was lower than the average for most schools. According to the Admin Req for Dental Schools 18 was average for most schools. Now I have already had an interviw with Indiana and have a few more to schedule, However I have a ton of working experience and volunteer experience, so that has helped. Don't fret too much about your 1st scores, they are fine. I would go over what hockey dentist prescribed and definitely apply for this year. Take subject by subject, identify strengths, and then weaknesses. As you come close to your date, go over your weaknesses because those will help you raise your score. Godd luck and you'll do fine.

Took the DAT, did well
Over 17
Sci 18
PAT 16
Read 21
Bio 19
Chem 17
Ochem 18
Math 13 🙁

I have talked to ADCOM's and they say with my GPA >3.2, degree background, experience in Dentistry, Current DAT, etc... I am a very competitive candidate. If I take the DAT again and do worse, does that effect my first scores and me being a competitive candidate? Just wondering.

Well I took the DAT last Friday and pretty disappointed

AA: 17
RC: 21
QR: 13 (Killed the AA)
Bio: 18
Gen: 17
Ochem:17
TS: 18
PAT: 16 (24,25,22 on practice tests -- and have artistic background, go figure)

I am applying to (UIC, SIU, Marquette, Arizona, UNLV, NOVA, Boston, Tufts, Case, Maryland, Indiana)

I know I have to take it again and revenge that QR (Damn the MATH) but I can't take it till August, so what do you think my chances would be if I didn't take the DAT again? Are these okay scores or Horrible? I see people with 24/25/23 and get discouraged so has anybody else got scores like these?

Thanks for imput

Very interesting.

how long did it take, and more importantly, why, to compile these results? maybe the guy is confused by his results, a 17 on one post, an 18 on another one. big deal.

Other than the second quote, all the others seem fairly consistent...and keep in mind I think he took two DATs so thats why there is some differences...who cares if he misses his AA by 1 point, in the end the Adcoms get to see the official scores, so no matter what, it shouldn't affect us at all...

Everyone makes mistakes. I took the dat only once and I have a hard time remembering what my scores were in each section, it would be easy to accidentally say I got a 15 on the QR section instead of the whopping 16 I got on that section. It isn't like he said he got a 30 and a gpa of 4.0. 😕

Now tell us how his lying affected your life so much that you had to post this.

You should seriously think about spending your time in a better way.

well i guess if someone didnt get the scores to get in, they may have more free time to police this board. One thing im dreading about d-school is people who think they are higher than thou and that nothing they do is wrong..

Just ignore them and watch them fall flat on their face one day. 😀

what freaking loser you are!

Just plain and simple, talk about having no life, who goes around copying and pasting peoples quotes and then calls them out.

Other than 1 point here or 1 point there, he was pretty consistent. Afterall, he did take the DAT twice, so there could easily be a mix up when he posts.

Come on bro, calling out someone because of that?

That aint cool.

If someone lies to others on sdn, it wont change anything - as far as why we are all here, trying to get into Dental School. Secondly, why are you so concerned with what someone else says too much... hes/hers results is just one of many that are posted on these forums, so.... whats you point waisting your time on seeing if they are lying or not?

Being too nosy never pays.

You definitely need to find something more useful to do and mind your own mistakes, not others.

from the recent posts, I think it's in the best of your interest to acknowledge that you really didnt need to post this...

just a reminder: "when you point your finger, there is always 3 fingers pointing back at yourself".

geez people, give the guy a break. i have seen people on here that really do post that they got 3 completely different things. i am sure he was just trying to help. the guy he is talking about may or may not have made up different scores at different times, who knows.

well to be honest i think that a lot of people go on the scores of others to get a feel for where they stand. if there are people on this forum who post false scores and where they have applied/got interviews/got waitlisted and so on it will screw with the heads of those who are trying to compare themselves with someone who has posted bull****. and i didnt go searching for this, but rather came across it because i have applied to siu and this person claims to have gotten waitlisted so i went back to see what there stats were and noticed that they said that they got a 18/16/19 on thier first dat and then earlier they said they got a 17/16/18 on the first dat. also i only posted his stats because when i pmed him he was trying to deny that he had ever made a mistake or lied and that i must have been a ******* or something, so i felt that he had it coming.
