Why has the APHA done nothing to help with pharmacist working conditions?

The apha touts themselves as "the first, largest and most influential association of pharmacists in the nation."

Yet...Apha has done almost nothing for the pharmacists working the trenches. Working conditions continue to deteroiate, insurances continue to cut reimbursement rates, tech hours are non existent, new metrics are added on monthly to chains, lunch breaks are about as real as unicorns in north korea. All APHA ever talk about is MTM, and when MTM is actually offered at wags, guess who takes the money? That's right, the corporations, and pharmacists get only MTM added as another "metric" just like flu shots. Of course, no additional hours would be given to provide such services

Freeces.com has free ce if people need them instead of paying that hefty APHA membership fee

Can somebody enlighten me as to what is the value of even joining the APHA?

Because the chains throw too much money at APhA. They aren't going to bite the hand that feeds them.

APhA has probably done nothing for the pharmacists in the trenches because just like you they have no solutions. It's easy to moan and groan. While I don't necessarily agree with APhA's position, it seems like their way out of poor working conditions is to expand the practice with MTM.
