Why have i not had any interviews is it too late?

I have a 4.0 and a 28T MCAT i had to take the mcat twice so i was forced to apply in August. But i would have still thought by now i would have interviews. I applied to all schools in Texas. I need to know if there is still a chance to get an email saying come in for an interview and also are most seats already filled for texas schools. I am getting really upset, i rather have heard "no you will not get an interview" vs on christmas getting an email "hi no interview for you muwhahaha"

I don't know. You are a Texas resident, right? If so, I think that you would still be considered for the match but you might be too late for a prematch offer. I applied in Texas but I'm not a Texas resident so the admissions process is different for me

No, probably only ~30% of the seats are filled. Interviews in Texas end in January though and schools usually give out interview invites a month in advance.

So you think i am not screwed yet? If i had to reapply do you think i need to retake the mcat because i have already lost access to my kaplan review material it expired. 🙁

No not yet. Some schools interview till 2nd week in January.

For some reason i thought in texas I thought interviews are held only until christmas. But i see some people already have interviews scheduled in decemeber which is why im so worried. there is just no way i am willing to take the mcat again nor do i still have access to my online kaplan stuff

That's the only one, but I think UTMB has another date that is not listed on their site.

A couple of my interviews only gave me 10 day notice. They don't all schedule a month out.

I don't know anything about Texas schools, but you could try sending an update (if anything has changed) and/or a letter of interest, if the school accepts them. From what I've read on these forums, that usually gets your application a second look.

If you don't get in anywhere this cycle, retake the MCAT and reapply. You should read the thread "30+ MCAT Study Habits". Good luck!

In the off chance that you're not trolling... nobody is going to talk to you about your chances mid-application cycle. They will simply tell you that they 'send out interview invites through March' or something similarly generic and remind you to check your status page (if one is available).

For Texas, its not the timing of you submitting your TMDSAS app. Your stats merit interviews from Texas schools. I even think the average MCAT score for UTMB is 28, so you are right on the money.

So maybe there is a Red Flag..

Did anyone read your PS?
Where did you take your prereq's?
How do you look EC wise?
Did you have a committee letter?
