It seems like everyone on here that is going through issues with school jump to such conclusions claiming they're depressed... Why are so many people depressed? Just because of school? Should the kids in Indonesia be the ones depressed for risking their lives trying to get to school on time everyday..Or the families in the Middle East losing their families everyday? Honestly, why are so many people here depressed and weak-minded. Is this what we have become? It's sickening...Every time I see a post because some lousy B or C-, next thing you know I have anxiety or either depression. Grow up. For the ones who actually lost loved ones or something tragic happened then that's understandable for obvious reasons. But, it seems like the latter is more prevalent. We are so accustomed to convenience in life that we become desensitized to reality and forget what we have and where we are. Don't let grades in school put you down. Stand up for Gods sake. /rant
, I think that talking about mental health issues as weakness is an antiquated idea that needs to go the way of blood letting or miasma. Thoughts like this, even when their intention is not to refer to clinical illness, contribute to the stigatization and downplaying of mental health. People whom hold this view should grow up as youput it.
