Why is Nova starting so early?

Does anyone know the reasoning for the extremely early start?

Not sure. My guess is maybe so that the 1st years could start at the same time as the dental students, since they share anatomy that first quarter?

I believe we get out a little earlier then the other schools for Winter break, to make up. Ultimately, the number of school days should be roughly the same between the schools.
