Why Marquette?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Hi guys, I'm serious in a dilemma between Marquette and working at NIH for a year. Please tell me why Marquette Dental is or is not a good school. I see the school as a good program but I've heard stories that I want to confirm before jumping into something that may cost 4 years of my life.

I would appreciate your comments.

Thanks.

I dont know what NIH is but I go to Marquette. I dont like it, if you have another option take it!

Thats pretty awesome, what do you do at NIH? Are you instate or out of state? Did you get accepted to other schools?

Well, you may end up doing only one crown at Marquette but hey, that's still far more dentistry you will end up doing at NIH.

Two completely different paths, not like choosing between USC and UCLA or Tufts and BU... etc.

Who knows what will happen next year but this year you have the chance to enter and begin studying dentistry. If you wait, that opportunity may not present itself again. Choose wisely.

hey, no, I just got accepted to Marquette, I haven't heard from any other schools yet. NIH is within the dental field. I'm also an out-stater.

Start your career sooner with the acceptance. If you get accepted in January to a preferred school then drop Marquette and make someone else happy to come in off the list.
