It was great not having a boss, but I didn't have anything set aside for retirement and my company wasn't growing. It became increasingly difficult to compete against Ticketmaster (I write ticket software), so I went back to school. I wanted to be a doctor when I was a child and always loved science, so I majored in biology. Two years before I graduated, I started researching possible career choices. Pharmacy came out on top.
I don't particularly care for pharmacy school, but it will be worth it when I graduate. My first experience working in a pharmacy was this summer and I really enjoyed it.

I decided to go to pharmacy school instead of remaining a technician because I wanted to take on additional responsibilities. I felt kind of out of place as a technician, because it was not a role in which I could live up to my full potential.

Just apply at your local chain stores, independents, etc. Talk to the pharmacy manager/owner and tell them you are planning/thinking about going to pharmacy school and would love to work for them for the life experience of being on the front lines.
