Just a rant, but what's up with Texas? I'd like to apply to some of their schools, but why can't they just be cool and use AMCAS? I don't mind making another application, but I hate bothering my letter writers and asking them to send the letters again to a different place. What's up, Texas?

In case they Secede from the union again, Texas comes prepackaged with its own ports, oil refineries, electrical grid, and medical school system.

You're aware of Texas' stringent IS preferences, right? 90% of the public medical school slots are held for in-state applicants. Even Baylor is 75% in-state.

Lots of schools, but also lots of applicants!
