Why unlv

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
They have some really nice facilities. They're "paperless" so digital xrays, electronic records, all high-tech stuff. Pretty awesome.

excellent facilities, great faculty too. friendly student pop, all willing to help one another out.

lots of community work (Give Kids a Smile, Veteran's Clinic)

research opportunities in with the Biomed staff.

also, the students say they see tons of oral surgery cases, so if that's what you're into, it may be the place for you.

downsides: the tuition is kind of high, even for in-staters.

also, they currently do not have a cadaver lab (i guess that would be a plus to some 🙂 ), so if that's an experience you are looking forward to, look elsewhere.

Every student has a chair in the clinic, so you never have to fight for chairs.

They are trying to open Endo and Perio (and maybe Oral Surgery) residencies in the next 2-3 years.

They talked about that in one of the presentations on interview day. Also, they start integrating students into the clinic starting in their first year.

I've got a Nov. 5th interview. I haven't gone to any interviews yet. Do you have any advice for this interview?

Thanks!
