Why Us Question - Matching with Most Meaningfuls?

Hi, I was wondering if the reasons we like a school have to match up with our most meaningful activities. For example, I have been doing benchwork since freshman year and have been doing it since my gap year, and it is a most meaningful activity for me. However, for many schools, I am more excited about their community service opportunities & unique humanities-focused curricula. Would it look weird to ADCOMs if I did not mention a school's scientific research program as "Why Us?"

Also, if I were to talk about a school's research, I am unsure if I should just say "Oh, I want to continue what I am doing now" because I am not sure if I even want to specialize in that medical field in the first place.

They don't have to match up with your most meaningful experiences, but you should show how the school's mission, culture, opportunities, etc. resonate with your career interests and values.

Your secondary essays/written interviews are your better opportunity to show mission and school fit.
