Hey guys,

I hooked up a 19" Dell LCD monitor to my laptop via the typical monitor cable (with the pins at each end). It works fine, but whenever I play a DVD on like Media Player on my laptop, it appears as blank on the 19" Dell LCD monitor. Why is this? Do I need to connect my laptop to the computer with a USB cable or something??

Thanks,
Jonathan

Sounds like an overlay failure of some kind, or the video card is misconfigured. Start with your video cards overlay properties and go from there.

I went to the overlay controls in my control panel under Display and it just gives Overlay adjustments but doesn't let me adjust them. What should I do?
