Why would you want to study at Tulane ?

I just really want to help. And i know that part of the country has an urgency like no other! that's basically it.

what are the other "appealing" features are there for studying medicine at tulane? Any input will be much appreciated !

If you really want to help, go join a nonprof doing work down there. Going to medical school down there will give you a part-time availability to help with rebuilding at best.

Choose a med school on its merits, and Tulane has many. They have a great tropical med program, for one.
