WICHE and AADSAS

Hello,

I'm currently applying, and I'm a WICHE applicant. I couldn't find anywhere in the AADSAS application where you're supposed to disclose that you're a WICHE applicant. So I emailed AADSAS and asked them if there was some type of box to check or something, and I received this response, "If you are a WICHE applicant, you can address that in your "Disadvantaged
section" since there are no working dental schools in the area and that is a
disadvantage." Well, in Arizona, there are two dental schools... so I'm not sure I feel comfortable putting that, because it may be kind of misleading in my particular case. So I guess what I'm asking is... what should I do? Do school's ask about it in the secondary applications, or should I go ahead and mention it in the "disadvantaged section"? I just don't understand how I'm supposed to let schools know that I'm a WICHE applicant...?

Don't they just know that you are based on your state of residence?

Both schools in Arizona are private. The disadvantage is that since there are no state school in Arizona, there's no significant advantage to being an AZ resident when applying to dental schools.

You need to apply through your state wiche cerifying office. They will verify your wiche status and they also ask which wiche schools you are applying to. If I remember correctly there is possibly correspondance via mail from your wiche certifying office and the whiche schools you apply to. But yes, the schools you apply to that have wiche contracts assume you are a wiche applicant based on your state of residence.
