People told me to put that I was a WICHE applicant somewhere in my application, but I didn't see anywhere to put it. What did you guys do? Do you think we still get priority if it's not on our application?

I am WICHE and was wondering the same thing!

When you complete WICHE your state notifies the schools you are applying to.

WICHE depends on your situation. That's all I know. I know two people that put it down and were granted interviews over me. Sucks if you don't qualify for WICHE status like me.

WICHE stands for "Western Interstate Commision for Higher Education." It's a system set up between the western states to pool resources in education. I live in Hawaii and since we don't have a dental school, I can apply for a WICHE scholarship that will allow me to pay in-state/reduced tuition to participating schools in the west. We tend to get secondary priority after in-staters since the schools get extra money from us (from our WICHE scholarship). Thank god for that, but it sure would be nice to be first priority somewhere 🙂
