I feel like some background info is necessary...Im def. a non-traditional applicant. My undergrad degree was actually in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland. I was a student athlete for the terps, competing in both Track and Field, and Cross Country. So that major was chosen due to the fact that I was marginally interested in it and it was relatively easy, allowing me to fully focus on athletics. Which is why the undergrad GPA is so low. Anyway it wasn't until several years after i had graduated, after I had pursued policing a little, that I realized it wasn't for me. Having a few friends that went into the field, realizing I lots of related experience through athletics, and after much soul searching, I felt i could really excel and enjoy physical therapy. So anyway, After finding out what I needed to get into a program I went back to school part time, while working full time. I also changed my working schedule so I could get paid experience in a physical therapy clinic. And here I am....I Hope that helps you out at all. I do feel my stats aren't the greatest but i think my background info did make me a better candidate. Good luck with the application process!
