I got a C in bio 2 last semester, for a lot of reasons, I got mono in the middle of the semester being the primary one. I am taking Genetics this semester and I was wondering if i get an A/A- in that (like I have every other science class I have ever taken not called Physical Chemistry) will that make up for it, or should I retake the class?

Depends on your strengths, a random C here or there wont do too much damage if you have a strong safety net.

1 or 2 Cs won't kill you but you'll probably have to have good explanations for them, which you seem to. Try to not let it happen again.

Taking more upper-level bio courses besides Genetics, and getting As in them, will help to compensate for that C and erase doubts in the minds of adcomms that you are capable of succeeding in med school.

Yes, it will, in fact, kill you. Sorry bud. 🙁

Yes a C will kill you dead in the water. Pick up the phone no matter what time it is and call your advisor so you can switch to something like communications. You do know you are the first pre-med ever to get a C.

I hope you realize my sarcasm, if getting a C would exclude you med school we would have ALOT less doctors.
