will adcoms compare last year's primary vs. this year's primary when reapplying?

i've changed added/removed some things between the beginning of last cycle and this cycle....will adcoms make a comparison or do they just focus on our newest app? (by things i mean descriptions of ECs)

also, if i submitted a primary but not a secondary to the school, do i mark that i have previously applied?

thanks much!

Just adding a few more EC's won't make a difference in my opinion. You'll need to raise your mcat or gpa to have a better shot to get in as a reaplicant.

LizzyM said that her school doesn't compare.

Many secondaries, however, will ask questions of reapplicants.

And yes, I believe that a primary counts as a previous application. Wait for others to confirm.

just to clarify: i mean only re: the physical content of the primary application. not changes made to my profile as an applicant, like fixing grades/mcat.

At at least one school where they will compare both.

Unless your MCAT and gpa are not what held you back.

In most cases, yes, but there definitely are people who don't get in the first time around with a great mcat and gpa but are lacking in clinical experience/ecs....
