I'm scheduled to take my DAT mid-July, but am not sure if 33 days (a little over 4 weeks) would be enough time.

I am currently studying for finals right now, so don't have much time to devote to it.

My current plan right now is to apply mid-June (after finals), and then take my DAT sometime in July. Would my chances for interviews and early acceptances (December 1st) drastically decrease whether I take it mid-July or end of July?

Anyone with acceptances want to share their experiences? Or any wise advice?

I am taking my DAT July 22 and not applying until early august because I have to wait for the scores and summer school transcripts. I was told by my advisor that the only schools which this will hurt chances of acceptance is those with rolling admissions. So check the schools you are applying to. Either way you are going to be a little late so apply to as many schools as possible. Good luck!

i believe all schools are rolling admissions.

I too was studying for finals so I scheduled to take my DATs June 22 which would have left me a little over 4 weeks to prepares. a week and a half into the whole process I started to realize how much material I still had left to cover and it was an overwhelming feeling. I have pushed my exam to Aug 8 and plan on completing everything with regards to applications asap. This way my application can get processed and put on hold as schools wait for my DAT scores.
I don't know if this is the BEST approach, but based off of advice I have received from others, it seems to be the best option for me.
I personally do not have a very strong background with the sciences because I never took the time in HS or undergrad to really learn and memorize material so that's why 4 weeks would not be enough for me to review all necessary material.
It really all depends on your strengths. If you do not really need to spend time on sciences, then you should be okay with that time. Make sure you give yourself AT LEAST a week to do practice exams and destroyer questions.

Best of luck to you!
