Since I got neuro apps on the mind 24/7, I was thinking about what neurology apps will be like when we're attendings 😱 -- Can't wait 😎

Do you think neuro will become competitive... like the trajectory taken by Anesthesia and Radiology (and Cards/GI/Heme-Onc, which are fellowships) ???

Trolled around on SDN and found some tangential comments:

Since I love pictures, I made a poll that I would love you to fill 😀

Since competitiveness is dependent on lifestyle and money, it'll really depend on what the financial landscape of medicine will be. It's not likely that neurology will ever become competitive in the same sense that radiology and dermatology are, but once the range of incomes between specialties decreases, competitiveness across the field will likely also even out.

Coup -
I think Neurology is becoming more competitive year by year and will continue to do so - lots of opportunities and Interventional and Neuroimaging are not yet battles lost.

See that you will possibly visiting OU and Buffalo - as I went to med school at OU and am currently at Buffalo in residency, I wanted to wish you good luck and let you know that I admire your discriminating taste 😉.

Let me know if you have any questions about either place which I might be able to answer for you.
