Will researching in ENT/Plastics look weird to OMFS programs?

Hi all, posting this here since it didnt get any responses in Dental. Im an Oral Surg hopeful, just wondering how it would look to OS programs if i do research in my schools ENT/Plastics department, since my home OMFS program does not have any research projects to offer dental students? I know for a fact the ENT/Plastics would have no problem with me doing research with them.

No it won’t. If it’s the closest you can get to OMFS research then do it. More qualifications and experience will never be a bad thing
