As of now, im a freshman in at a 4year university (i finished fall and winter, and am taking orgo this summer...so basically a sophomore i guess)
i just started to volunteer at a hospital, like just went to orientation so 0 hours so far. And i havnt done anything else as far as ec's...am i in bad shape? or is it normal to start at like middle sophomore year?
also...
whats your opinion on taking prereqs after you apply?
like in my case i plan on taking/took:

General Bio (4cr. with lab)
General Chemistry 1 and 2 (8 cr. w/ lab)
Orgo 1 class and lab
Orgo 2 class and lab
Cell Biology
Pre Calc

then i plan on taking DAT/ Apply

then take Physics 1 and 2
Microbio class and lab
Biochem

is this a good idea?
i really want to graduate in 3 years, and if i stick to this plan, i can do it
but if its not possible/ will look really bad, i can make some adjustments
but what are your opinions on my plan?
am i missing any classes?
do i need to switch any classes around?
thanks a ton!!
ps. sorry i have so many questions but im a little worried/confused lol

starting sophmore year is just about right but i would suggest volunteering in a dentist office if you are serious about dental practice.

yea, im going to ask a dentist next week if i can shadow/ volunteer
but what about my classes? are they fine?
will dental schhols care if i take some pre reqs after i apply?

Well my advisors told me that Physics and the other classes you are taking after applying to dental school aren't required for the DAT but I think those Physics classes may be required the some dental schools you apply for. I suggest you looking at the school you wish to apply for to see their pre reqs. All in all this plan seems fine to me.

Also taking a Ceramics or Jewerly Making class over the summer would be a good idea too to work on your hand skills.

I am quite new to this and had a 3-year class plan too; but I thought that bioChem would help DAT, so it should be taken before DAT -- is that correct, could anybody explain to us?

Also, since total 2 yrs of bio classes are required for pre-dental, what other biology classes are recommended before DAT and after DAT??

Any suggestions/comments would be appreciated!!
