ive noticed a lot of people with WindowsMobile 5 smartphones say they have a lot of trouble sideloading programs (ie, epocrates). im wondering if anyone has upgraded to 6.0 and noticed an ease in transition while using other programs on their devices? alternatively, if the problem extends beyond epocrates, which god willing will be the only PDA app i use.

WM6 is just as crappy as WM5.

I dropped my WM phone in the toilet and got a Blackberry....

I've been using an AT&T 8525 for the last 9 months, using WM5 then upgraded to WM6. No problems installing and running just about anything I wanted on it, i.e., Epocrates, Skycape, games, etc. I even have an Iphon-ish Slide-to-unlock program running as well as a bunch of other apps like clauncher, PocketCM, S2V which makes things look better in my opinion.
I only see a small improvement from WM5 to WM6 but I wouldn't say its all crappy. I rely on this thing everyday here at the hospital. I would definitely dump it if its always on the fritz and look for a substitute.
Blackberrys are nice but I don't need their service for checking email or even surf the net so I could not justify paying for that. I don't subscribe to the data plan on mine either for the same reasons.
So to each his own....
