With more applicants, secondary timeline remain the same?

I know previous discussions on here have said before Labor Day is "on time." Has that timeline changed given the higher number of applications this cycle and last cycle?

How do you know apps are up this year?

My primary verification tracked fairly well with last year's time-to-verification data, which indicates to me that AAMC is working through a similar number of apps. Anecdotally, many strong applications I knew last year were rejected, so I'd wager there'll be more reapplicants this year.

I guess a better question to ask is: based on your experience with last year's numbers, did the standard wisdom about when is early/when is late apply?
