Hi guys I would like to hear some opinions on whether or not I should withdraw from my physics course. I usually don't do worst than average, but the first midterm absolutely killed me and I think its going to be VERY difficult to get a B- at this rate. The material itself is not difficult, but the homework is taking up all my time and I'm afraid it will drag my performance down in my other upper division courses in the terms to come. I've taken all my other prereqs and other 400 level classes, and physics has been the WORST of them all.

I'm taking a gap year, so if I do decide to drop I will be able to take it at another local university during the summer when I apply. I think I will also lose my scholarship for this term if I drop below full time student ($400) and probably can't do the graduation walk but I don't really care about the latter.

Stats:
senior standing
sGPA: 3.63, oGPA: 3.61
DAT: 21TS/AA

Edit: lowest grade ever received was a B-

A couple of b- 's doesn't hurt for dental school. You got good dat and gpa. I wouldn't retake it. It's a tough call ad scholarship is involved. its totally up to you. Usually my grade came out better than expected at the end of the semester. I hope you study very hard and able to save grades and the scholarship Good luck
