Hi so I am a second year pre-med student. I have been trying to find out how bad a "W" looks on a transcript and all I can find is stuff on pre-med classes. I already have one "w" from a sociology course my freshman year and now am debating whether or not it is a good idea to take another one for a history course. Any thoughts and opinions would be helpful.

Dude I legitimately signed on to SDN just to see if someone was in the same boat as me. Literally just took my midterm and I know I failed.. calculus is not a bundle of joy. I'm thinking about using my one annual "W" and maybe taking the class senior year where i've already applied and such but I should probably wait till I get my grade back and see how the curve has hit the class, but the deadline is soo soon 🙁(((

sorry not really any help haha but at least you're not the only one

It won't kill you but don't make it a habit. If you have a lot of W's then its a red flag. Anyways consider why you're dropping the course and if you for some reason can't bring it up to a B or higher then go ahead.
