I want to withdraw my application from a school that I got an interview invite from? Do I just send an email? Is there a formal process?

Technically you can just not show up but that is wasting a lot of people's time and a spot for someone else. So just contact them normally like email or phone

Just call/email them and let them know you will not be showing up. At least this way the spot could open up for another interviewee.
