I just took the DAT and I didnt do as good as i thought i would. I was wondering if I should withdraw my application from the 3 Texas school and apply for next cycle. My gpa is not that great either. If I do withdraw my application, how does that look for the dental school? Need advise ASAP.

need to know your scores at least your AA/TS and gpa to help you out. =)

17/17 and 3.2 sc and 3.3 overall

Has your application been sent out to schools yet?

That aint that bad, if you applied to a number of schools and the right ones. SDN has alot of people applying who have a much much higher range than your average applicant so dont let all the people with 3.8 gpa and 24 AA on DAT get ya down. If school's average dat of accepted student is a 19, it means some people had higher and some people had lower. If you apply you at least have a chance, if you withdraw then you got no chance at all.

I like the way you think 🙂

Yes, people get in with even 17s, it's not unheard of. You're within the range of students who are admitted. DocToothache has a spreadsheet with DAT and GPA ranges for the schools, and you'll see there that people have gotten in with stats so much lower than yours. If this is what you want, give it a shot, and don't let those with unearthly stats deter you from trying. 😉

I am not going to lie. It is going to be a little more difficult for you. But still I don't think you should withdraw your application. Just push through it. If you already spent the money, why not make the best out of it? Who knows? You might make it. Good luck 👍

No refunds so you might as well see what happens.
