I got accepted to my top choice school. Do I need to formally withdraw my applications from the other schools I applied to? Thanks for the help!

Yes you have to withdraw by phone or letter.

Does this apply to the schools that I did not send a secondary application to as well? Thankyou!

Yes. It is only courteous to do so. It saves on paper, time, and effort for the admissions staff. Besides, it gives opportunities for those who have yet to receive a secondary. Congrats on your acceptance to your top choice.

most school are fine with an e-mail. actually, most schools that i called requested that i send an e-mail instead.

Yeah. They want something that they can actually put in the file.

Yeah I figured email was best since when I called a school today, they requested one. Thanks every one for replying.

You should, but you are not required to. If you don't they may look down upon future applicants from your school. In addition, if you are offered an interview and don't turn it down, they can just send you a nice rejection letter; happened to my roomate with CCOM.
