For the DAT, will we need to know how to create the lyide used for the Wittig Reaction? Or will the lyide be given as the reagent?

I had no idea that ylides are considered "advanced" for the DAT... I'm just studying whatever is in the Kaplan blue book.

cool, thanks for the heads up. I thought they would give you the reagent, because in orgo 2, my professor said the formation of a ylide, while important, will usually not be on most tests.
