Hey all!!

I know the application process is just starting for most of us.. but I just wanted to check in and see how everyone was doing!!

As in my signature-- I'm applying to 10 schools.. since me and my man are hoping to get into the same one or one that is at least close =)

  • 3.75 gpa

  • lotsa volunteer exp~250 hours (meals on wheels.. hospice.. tutoring)

  • pharm volunteer 4 six months (120 hours)

  • no pcat yet-- august (kaplan course)

  • 4 good letters of rec (pharmacist, orgo teacher, head of volunteering, manager at work)

I just finished up my personal statement and had a few wonderful people who are on the proofreaders page revise them.. and it turned out great! I highly recommend the people on there.. they are REALLY helpful =)

How's everyone else's process going?? where's everyone applying??? 😱 😱 😱

Stats look great! Your being proactive with the application process will definitely give you great results! good luck 🙂

Thanks!!! I appreciate it =) I'm hoping to do the application process only once.. so hopefully it works! 😀

Congrats on being in pharmacy school... I'm sure that was the best day of your life (or one of them =P) when you got an acceptance letter!

I can't wait 🙄

Good work on submitting so fast! I'm waiting until I take the PCAT next weekend to start my supps - need to focus on one thing at a time. My PharmCAS app was submitted a few days ago.

Here are my current stats:
3.1 cum gpa
3.9 pre-req gpa
paramedic
cpht for 1 year in a hospital

applying to: maryland, chicago, chicago state, midwestern, florida, nova, mercer, texas
👍

Good job to you too! I have yet to submit to pharmcas, I probably will in the next few days!

I don't blame you, I'd focus on the pcat first too =) I like to get things done before I start other stuff.. I am much more efficient that way!

3.9 pre req! Awesome! And experience in healthcare//pharm.. that's going to look great!

Hopefully midwestern / / mercer accepts us :xf::xf::xf: 😎

Ya, I slacked big time back when I started UF in 2003. That's why there's a big difference in the cum. I left without a degree and got my act together.

You'll have no problem getting in man. 3.75 is good for anywhere, and you're obviously geniunely interested in pharmacy.

Were all of your references in the the pharmCAS system already? Or did you just submit and pharmCAS will put them in as they come?

Wow, cschellh, you're on top of things. Good luck to you and your boyfriend 🙂

I'm applying to all the CA schools except Loma Linda and Northstate. I think I'll submit in mid-July after I get all my LORs ready.

You have to send your reference letters before you submit, but you don't have to wait until your receive them to submit. Basically, everything in the middle of your app has to be filled out before you submit, and everything on the right side will update after submission.

It happens to the best of us! Great job in getting your act together... you clearly did! =)

Hopefully I get >70 on the pcat. My goal is >80.. but I would be 'satisfied' with 70+!

Good luck on your pcat!!! =) And rest of the app process...yuck!

Oh no way, like I said- if I had the june pcat (which I wanted to take... but my cousins wedding is that day and I'm standing up in it) =\ -- I would NEVER have this much done in my app.

It's much smarter to focus on that right now!!

Good luck to everyone =)

I think August is still really early to apply anyways.. even through like October from what I've read!

Anyone doing early decision?

Wow! Are you rockin' the application process and with all your supps all done. Youre amazing! I give you props!

I'm stuck on writing my PS for now. But, most of my stuff has been inputted into PharmCAS. The only thing left is the PS. I hope to get it done by next week with final draft.

Thanks! I'm trying

As for your PS-- i strongly suggest using the people on the proofreading sticky! They are sooooo helpful. They turned a good ps to an amazing one IMO! I sent it to all 5 or 6 of them, as well as admissions, and it was so nice to be able to get so many different perspectives. It really helped a lot! 🙄
