sorry guys but destroyer has many concepts that i need clarified before my exam in 2 weeks

it says that

C4H10 has a higher entropy then C3H8.....how is that so...i thought that the smaller the molecule the higher entropy because wouldnt a a biiger molecule be more ordered

its g chem number 30 by the way

hmmmm

It might be do to the fact that there are more total atoms present in C4H10, but if I was asked if one mole of C4H10 vs C3H8 was more disordered I'd be tempted to say C3H8...but they are both gases at room temp so its not a phase difference like say between C3H8 and C6H14.....

Hard call, but since they are both in the gas phase at room temp I guess you could argue total atoms present.

???
Unless I forgot something, but entropy is a relative thing...you can't say this has this much entropy and this one has this much less...I don't think you can compare two molecules and say one has more than the other.

Hmm, I'm not sure how you would reason that a bigger molecule is more ordered than a smaller molecule. I agree with albuterol, bigger molecule, more disorder

more children = harder to take care of them cuz they make too much mess, randomness, disorder in the house.
