Word Counts for secondaries

I know the important part of a secondary is the content (quality not quantity) but what do you all think is a good amount of text to satisfy certain prompts (i.e. what percentage)

It kind of depends. I would argue writing 600 words for a 1000 word prompt is acceptable, whereas writing 600 characters for a 1000 character prompt may give the impression you don't have much to say.
