Work/activities section help

I am in the process of filling out my medical school apps. and I am having a difficult time filling out the work/activities specifically in regards to quantifying my past events. For example would a missions trip be expressed in hours, days or weeks? Would ongoing research be expressed in hours, months, or years? The same for tutoring etc. Any help with this matter would be appreciated. I understand it may be subjective but I'd like some healthy feedback. Thanks fellas!

Pretty sure everything has to be quantified in hours/weeks and then total hours , even leadership positions and such. Odd I know.

I appreciate the input but in regards to hours/week it would make a week long missions trip look like nothing when you divide the hours by 55....

I would just say 1 week for X amount of hours. Maybe I'm not understanding the problem.
