already put it under research experience section, but can it also be placed under work experience since it's paid employment? Or is it one or the other?

Thanks

If you have room for it in both, list it twice. Was told to double, or even triple list things that fit in multiple categories. Shouldn't be punished for getting paid to do research haha.

Where did you hear this? I thought I read on AADSAS that you should only list an activity once and not repeat any experiences listed in a previous section.

My pre-dental advisor told me this. Guess she could be wrong.

I think it's more fitting to put it under "research". You could put it in both but I think the admissions committee will get annoyed reading the same thing in multiple categories.

Any other thoughts?

If you can direct me to a AADSAS link that sheds light on this issue, I'd appreciate it.

I was told by a dental school's admissions committee chair to not double up. He said it comes off as the applicant attempting to fill up more professional experience slots to look stacked.

Of course everybody has their own opinion, but your safest bet is to keep it in one spot.

I agree with this. There's no advantage to doubling up a single experience but there is a chance that it'll make you look bad to adcoms.

My adviser told me the same as well. He said to list them twice.

Enter any paid work experience, including military service. List experience in order of importance to you. List each activity only once. Do not repeat any activities listed in the previous section. You may list up to 5 experiences. If still employed, estimate future end date. If listing military experience, include (anticipated) discharge date and type of discharge.
