how important is it to have work experience and list it on your application. I mean ive worked at places but never really worked there full time or can say that i worked an actual job. I dont have time due to my university soccer team (which is my job) and school.

What places have you 'worked'? It's better to put something rather than nothing. I think we need more information though. If you're a student athlete, you can't have a job correct? (I thought I heard someone say that, not sure if it's true).

I only put steady jobs down, not little summer jobs.

I only had one during my undergrad so I only listed one down. Only 1/5 schools I interviewed at asked me question about..so i don't think its not that big of a deal

I think you're approaching this wrong. The point of the application isn't to fill out every blank you can; the blanks are there to give you options to show who you are and what you've done in the past 4 years. If you didn't have any long-term work experience, then it clearly wasn't important to you. Emphasize other strong points of your application. Don't make something up or exaggerate unpaid/super part-time position.

I agree with Lane. It's about quality and not quantity.
