My question is do you think adcoms would look at a lighter class load in a better light if you also work 30+ hour weeks. I was under the impression that adcoms want to know if you can handle a heavy load but shouldn't a job be a part of that?

A "heavy load" can include work hours, ECs, research, MCAT study, and family responsibilities.
