Any floater in here working for a 3 letter and been working all the night shifts and weekend? How do you tell the scheduler to at least give a day of the weekend off?

I asked my scheduler take me off every other weekend at least. She was a nice lady unlike some schedulers so she would do her best to comply most of the time.

In theory a floater should have roughly the same schedule as someone who works at a permanent store except that he or she works at various locations. That being said, it's not unreasonable to ask to work alternating day and evening shifts and alternating weekends.

Quite possibly my favorite shifts to cover (weekend nights that is)...extra pay & arguably the easiest/least busy times of the week (win-win if it weren't for social norms to dictate weekends as the arbitrary time for social gatherings/going out, etc.).
Wouldn't hurt to ask, maybe you could rotate turns with another floater at least

bro you gotta speak up. you're getting shafted here unless you want that schedule. you should not be working every weekend.

Yea I'll ask them. Hopefully my hrs are not getting lower

My shifts are the worse. Only 1 tech with me. Just me doing 4 other people tasks

Some people think floaters don't have a life or a family lol

I mean its probably because you havent complained/said anything. I was getting asked to come work on basically every day off i had until i started to say no. Honestly my scheduler was great about taking your requests into consideration if possible. It could also be the time of year maybe your district had all the regular store pharmacists ask for their vacation at this time and for those reasons they are putting floats on more weekends, unlikely they would allow that to happen but possible. I wonder if you have talked to other floats in your district their weekend schedule? Try to ask your scheduler for alternating weekends or working every Saturday but having sundays off or vice versa and see what they say. Be polite but firm in stating why you would prefer this option. Most likely they will accommodate this request if it is at all possible.
