I'm starting SUNY in August, and planning on doing some work study hours. Is it common to work through school, or do most people just concentrate on studying then work during the summer? In other words, would you say it is very stressful to work during the school year?

Work study is pretty common at SUNY. Lots of people have various jobs. Most of them are very flexible to allow for your varying schedules during exams etc. When you get here email Vito and ask what's available, he regularly sends out emails for new positions that open up too.

Good luck!

I think lots of people will agree that the people who choose to do work study do it mostly in the first and second year.

The sooner you grab one, the better your job might be, too. For instance, the first couple of people in the entering class at SCO will most likely go for the library, as it will allow for a LOT of time for studying.
