Hi all,
I am curious how single parents are able to go through dental school and still pay theor mortgages? Anyone have any experience with this? I can't sell my home and up and move etc. Just curious if anyone has any suggestions other than private loans? Do they give additional loans on top of what they give for tuition?

your loan package is usually for the total cost of attendance, tuition-fees-books-supplies-room&board
you may have to rent out your current house if you move to another city and cannot/don't want to sell...

Ask the admissions teams to connect you to current students or recent alumni. I'm sure ASDA or ADA membership can find someone who had been in your situation or asked similar questions. But whatever you do, limit or avoid private loans to pay for your dental education.

Financial aid should determine a budget that will accommodate your personal and family needs. You can talk to any financial aid officer a a dental school.
