The incoming fall semester will be my last as a freshmen, so I know it's early to worry about this. Regardless, I'm not sure how I can obtain leadership experience or what exactly constitutes this. Any ideas?

Any position you play in which you provide instruction, support, or direction to others has the opportunity to provide you with leadership experience. You can tutor, be an officer in a club, do some community volunteering, be a member of a rec-league or college team... The opportunities are endless.

As your involvement in an activity (campus club, volunteer organization, even employment) expands to 2 years or more, you may have the opportunity to lead your peers as a shift supervisor, orientation leader, a club officer, etc. It is too soon as a freshman to think about leadership. At this point, focus on participation in groups and then prune your activities to a few that you become more involved in and maybe one or two in which you take a leadership role.
