worst experience so far in med school

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Being pounded with material on cosmetic surgery and diseases of affluence when those I desired to serve were dying long before being blessed to so much as even thing about such things.

Being pounded with material about "when you become a GP" without any regard to the fact that many of us had no intentions of being GPs (I'm not discounting the importance of learning the material but the phrase "when you become a GP" got awfully tiring). 😱

Being "pounded" with when you take your exam (on how to examine a patient) . . .
In the UK, students are tested to see if they can properly examine a patient. Yes, you should get on your knees when you examine the patient's abdomen so that you are on the same level!!

I just got the CSA info, on one of the check lists is "ascultated precordium in at least two places" 🙄

Actually, the worst part of medschool so far has been the road that flooded between my apartment and the school. There was no other way around it, and the local alligator (?crocodile)decided to expand his swimming range.

Annette - your clinical training will serve you well, despite seemingly a pain now. IMHO you will probably be more advanced than your US counterparts when you come for 4th year rotations.

BTW, the CSA was not difficult so don't sweat all the checklist stuff (although you should ascultate the precordium in at least 2 places anyway). 😉
